Having good posture is such an important for physical and mental health. It allows us to perform at our best through things as challenging as fitness routines to those as simple as our ever day tasks, taking a shower for example.
With the modern world going against the promotion of proper posture with desk jobs, cell phones, sedentary lifestyles – we are already susceptible to a functional decline. During pregnancy and the postpartum period, it is common for postural abnormalities to form due to several factors: spinal structural changes, altered center of gravity, widening of the hips and pelvis, increase of sedentary behavior, increase in breast size, and many others dependent on an individual’s lifestyle.
